PurOptima 117 Plus is a timelessly elegant single glazed glass wall system which can be used to make beautiful private rooms out of open spaces. Minimal head and base channels and discreet glass to glass dry joints create the illusion of vast areas of unsupported glass.
The incorporation of extruded aluminium deflection heads makes the system an ideal solution for the modern office building, where high levels of deflection are common. Both inner and outer deflection heads are available, to suit your design intent, and can accommodate up to +/-25mm (0.98″) or +/-40mm (1.57″) deflection. If there is no deflection required, a simple 25mm (0.98″) extruded aluminium head channel is all that is required.
The aluminium base channel can either be 25mm (0.98″) or 50mm (1.962″) deep, depending upon how minimal you want the perimeter framing to be. Where deflection is required, the base channel is 36mm (1.41″) wide to align with the deflection head channel, but if there is no deflection the base channel is just 25mm (0.98″) wide.
This single glazed system can accommodate glass panels up to 1500mm (59″) wide, subject to height, configuration, and site logistics. Please contact our Technical Team to discuss the unique requirements of your scheme.
The use of dry-glaze gaskets in this single glazed system makes it quick and easy to install, without compromising on durability, aesthetics or acoustic performance. A number of discreet glass to glass dry joints are available, including clear PETG, flush aluminium, taped, or our virtually invisible patented Nebula™ joint.
PurOptima 117 Plus single glazing can accommodate a variety of glass thicknesses to suit the acoustic rating that you need to achieve. As with all of our products, the system is laboratory tested for acoustic performance in a UKAS accredited laboratory and full test reports are available upon request.
PurOptima 117 Plus single glazing can achieve Rw33dB with 12mm (0.47″) toughened glass and up to Rw40dB with 16.8mm (0.66″) acoustic laminated glass. The acoustic test is conducted on a full height, multi-module screen with glazing joints and perimeter track-work; not simply a ‘window’ in a smaller sized opening. Testing samples using the latter method will generally give an artificially higher acoustic rating result and any results obtained in this way should be treated with great caution.
PurOptima 117 Plus single glazing has a stylish integral door frame, enabling a flush fit with either timber door leaves or PurOptima’s exclusive range of glazed doors; available with a variety of head details which can accommodate up to +/- 40mm (1.57″) deflection.
