The interior glass wall partitioning in Dublin’s Twitter headquarters is a great example of contemporary design. The fit-out saw 200 local staff moved into four floors at Cumberland Place, a building dating back to the 1970’s which has been given a €29 million makeover. We worked closely with our partner in Dublin, Walls to Workstations on this prestigious project.

The building achieved a superb LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) platinum certification in recognition of its environmentally sustainable features, such as motion-sensitive lights and green roofs that help recycle rainwater. In addition, our interior glass wall partitioning ensures a light and airy space in the interior design. Specifically, architects MCA used our Revolution 100 double glazed partitions and Timber Doors to divide the meeting rooms and provide high acoustic privacy.
Equally important, the space is stylized with modern and quirky touches to allow for a welcoming atmosphere. These additions extend to high-tech coffee machines, comfortable and social seating fixtures and, of course, table-tennis. Similarly, the space is completed by our glass walls to let the light flood the space.
On the exterior of the building, Twitter has built a contextually-appropriate, fully functioning Irish pub. Moreover, this adds a degree of charming context, as well as providing employees with an out of hours social space. Furthermore, a kitchen providing hot food for lunches is a feature of this quaint pub.
On the other hand, the refurbishment of the building, which was funded by owners Hibernia REIT, has made Cumberland Place one of the most environmentally friendly buildings in the world.
Twitter Dublin was the first of the company’s offices worldwide to achieve the Platinum LEED standard. In fact, a huge feat, shattering the previous world record. Twitter is a project that everyone involved felt the utmost pride in completing. Finally, earning well deserved accolades encourages us to keep on developing our environmentally friendly and sustainable (FSC Certified) materials for our glass walls.
