Representing an investment of over £6m, the move is the culmination of over two years’ meticulous planning and installation. In short, UTV now occupies a prime office location in Dublin. Firstly, a combination of single and double glazing was installed in the office areas. In addition, sloping glazed partitioning was constructed in the broadcast studio, which due to the acoustic requirement was specified as a triple glazed screen giving a high acoustic rating.
In addition to the breathtaking views on all sides; the 11,000 sq feet of space comprises an HD studio, the latest in editing technology, corporate offices and news, administration, finance, sales and creative areas to accommodate all 100 staff members. Furthermore, the surrounding amenities and transport links make it the perfect location for a modern news operation.
In conclusion, UTV is embracing using the latest technology and a modern state of the art facility will enable them to do this. They have been delighted with the results and viewers received an uninterrupted service.
