Architect, Bisset Adams designed their stunning new offices with the latest in internal glazed partitions. Using personality and artistic flair, the architect practice has worked hard to give themselves a space to be proud of. In addition, bringing contractors, Fit Out & Refurbishment Management (FORM) onto the project proved the perfect combination for collaboration. Together, we created an agile, fluid space that allows inspiration to grow with clever use of internal glazed partitions.

Firstly, we designed high acoustic internal glazed partitions to Bisset Adams’ meeting rooms. In addition to providing a sleek aesthetic, these partitions were needed to ensure privacy during confidential meetings. Alongside FORM, we fitted our Revolution 100 and Elite doors, with an impressive acoustic rating of Rw43dB. Furthermore, these partitions were specified by Bisset Adams, as they allow acoustic needs to be met without compromising the natural light flow. In addition, we enabled some beautiful bespoke features. For example, powder-coating our partition and door frames in our Bath manufacturing facility allows us to match the existing features of the new office at The Cube Building in London.
“Optima was an integral part of my vision for our own unified space, creating an environment where we can continue to grow and thrive creatively.” Iain Johnston, Director, Bisset Adams.
On the other hand, the staff at Bisset Adams are required to work in a shared open space. Consequently, FORM fitted new board rooms to the space allowing Bisset Adams the capabilities to host client meetings in-house, giving a comprehensive experience for their clients. Revolution 100 partitions and Elite Aero pocket sliding doors save space and preserve the open atmosphere in the office. In addition to creating an office that was aesthetically charming, we also created an office that can cater for several different intentions. For example, acoustic partitions form the boundaries of the board rooms, whilst also allowing natural light to flood the space.
Furthermore, the feeling of space is apparent in the large reception area of the design with a quiet and relaxing reading area, a higher bar area for quick get-togethers, a pool table and a kitchen with a large dining table for shared and social lunch breaks. In short, we worked with Bisset Adams’ design to create a comfortable, professional and most importantly, dynamic workspace.
The use of yellow in the design reflected the huge amount of natural light in the space. Furthermore, the use of glass partitions instead of solid walls facilitated the distribution of natural light throughout the office. In addition, this allowed the team flexibility in the use of the space in this truly agile environment.
