Many businesses are now striving to create working environments which successfully balance open plan with acoustic privacy. Therefore, it’s important for design solutions to deliver on both aesthetic appearance and often acoustic performance. This was the challenge facing one of Ireland’s leading technology companies, Demonware. A series of glass partitions in their Dublin offices created acoustically sound meeting rooms and pods throughout this dynamic fit-out. Together with our expert partner in the region Walls to Workstations, the delivery of this high quality project came to life.

Due to the nature of Demonware’s work and the intense levels of concentration required, there was a need for cellular offices in this new workspace. However, in order for colleagues to socialise and share ideas, it was essential for the new layout to accommodate areas for collaboration.
In the first instance, architects, Urban Agency, addressed this requirement by designing innovative sit-in huddle spaces for each team. Likewise, sectioned by curved plywood dividers to provide a degree of privacy, acoustic separation is provided during informal meetings or catch-ups. For more formal meetings and business calls, Optima 117 Plus was used. In addition, frameless pivoting glass doors complete a number of square meeting rooms. Consequently, this elegant, minimal framed glass partition system allows natural light flow and visual connectivity across the workspace, whilst providing acoustic privacy. Additionally, our curved single glazing with bespoke aluminium framing creates distinctive and stylish meeting pods.
Demonware’s new office successfully accommodates a variety of ways in which people can work, in order to increase staff wellbeing and efficiency. In addition, the use of glass partitions in this contemporary Dublin office gives rise to a light and airy interior. Consequently, this is far removed from the software company’s dark and noisy former office environment. We are proud to play our part in the creation of a vibrant, flexible workplace which has met the aesthetic and technical requirements of the design brief. This impressive new space will allow them to embrace the youthful and creative vitality of a forward thinking technology business. Demonware is behind some of the world’s most popular game franchises.
