Acoustic performance blended with striking visual impact was the top priority for this music company’s new London office. Therefore, we installed a range of our high-performance acoustic glass walls and door systems throughout this contemporary workspace. Revolution 54 Plus double glazed partitions were installed extensively across several of the floors creating a variety of spaces. From private offices and board rooms to shared workspaces and meeting rooms, this acoustic system delivers excellent sound insulation to meet the needs of every space. This hybrid office perfectly showcases the high acoustic performance, aesthetic appeal, and adaptability of Revolution 54 Plus. Achieving up to Rw46dB with two layers of 12.8mm thick acoustic laminated glass, it also offers the perfect acoustic solution.
Edge series doors further enhance the acoustic performance throughout the seven floors of their new London office. By installing both Edge Symmetry and Affinity doors we were able to offer the highest acoustic performance whilst meeting a variety of bespoke design requirements. Not only are these doors beautifully designed, but they can perform as well acoustically as bespoke acoustic timber doors. Ideal for offices and meeting rooms requiring a high level of acoustic privacy, Edge Symmetry can achieve up to Rw41dB. These Edge series doors merged seamlessly with the high acoustic Timber doors which were also installed throughout the office. With an acoustic rating of up to Rw41db, our timber doors add to the sound privacy of the overall design.
In addition, unique to the enhanced acoustic performance of their new office was the design of a bespoke acoustic window. Located in the master studio, these observation windows took acoustic performance to a completely new level. Our glass walls, created a pair of bespoke timber framed double glazed systems, achieving an acoustic rating of up to Rw63dB. Delivering outstanding acoustic performance, these bespoke glass wall solutions meet the client’s sound audio requirements perfectly.
With a variety of record labels sharing this new workspace, it was crucial for each team to have their own identity. With this in mind, each of the areas in their office showcases many unique yet blended design schemes. From lighting to furniture, all the materials have been carefully thought out to foster creativity and also collaboration across this contemporary design. This was also true of our glass walls, with each tailored to the bespoke needs of the different spaces.
PurOptima 117 Plus Shoreditch Edition single glazed arched partitions add a timelessly elegant aesthetic to several of the spaces. This striking arched system creates a bright and airy Library space leading off from the central restaurant and event space. Achieving up to Rw41dB, this refined system also offers a great acoustic escape from the hustle and bustle of the main communal area, whilst maintaining an open feel across the floor. With a minimal head and base channel this sophisticated glass wall offers the ideal aesthetic solution whilst also delivering impressive acoustic performance.
With impressive visual design and acoustic performance so important throughout this music company’s new office, Shoreditch Edition bars offer the ideal solution. Bonded to the glass, this striking slimline framework has the dramatic effect of cutting through the glass whilst maintaining both structural stability and acoustic performance. We matched the changing visuals of the office by applying Shoreditch bars in some areas and not in others, blending the different aesthetics of the office with a range of systems. Another distinctive feature of this project is a secondary atrium screen that looks over the central restaurant and break-out area. Furthermore, applied with a mirrored effect manifestation, this bespoke screen adds a truly unique design element.
